A rich banger
by Joyce on Jan.09, 2009
For some strange reason Duncan keeps calling me a rich girl.
So I guess this weekend banger is about me.
Thank you the virgins. OH, and the twelves? Thank you for remixing this jam.
If you didn’t catch what I did there, the song is called Rich girls (The twelves remix)by The virgins.
09 TIL INFINITY!! HATERS FALL BACK!!!!
by DMack on Jan.02, 2009
WE DID IT! So long, 2008, and thanks for all the fire.
Two thousand fine! It’s going to be the best year yet, no question. Let’s get it! We’re gonna eat this year! Being unemployed is the worst thing that’s ever happened to my beard but big things are starting to bubble up. Let’s all be ready to accept positive change at all times, and in any form… and let’s WELCOME IT so that more positivity will follow.
2009, dudes! I couldn’t BE more excited. Keep your distance or you might get some on you. WHAT?
Anyway, onto the jam-posting tip. This is actually kind of embarrassing because I was going to post Kid CuDi tonight too, but Joyce beat me to it. Without a doubt this was his year. Kid CuDi blew up quick and after finally listening to his mixtape, I can see why.
I just know that something good is gonna happen. Utah Saints must feel the same way, because they rerecorded and rereleased their single “Something Good” this year. I’m going to post it as my banger this week, knowing full well how much of a cliche it will be.
Utah Saints – Something Good ’08
Additional MOTIVATION:
Utah Saints – Something Good (Van She tech mix) - extended version of the above
Weezy & Kanye – Lollipop (“So Magical” remix)
Snail Ramp – Hotaru no Hikari (feat. AIR) – happy newyearrrr
mc chris – Drinkin’ Blunts, Smokin’ 40′s – you can’t not post it
Lil Wayne – Whoever You Like – My top track of the year according to Last.fm was “Whatever You Like”, so let’s rock this in celebration.
Hi Oh Nine.

Ah 08, as I look back and reflect, twas a year that introduced me to a love of remixes.
I never did like them before because I always had this mentality that you can’t beat the original. However, I discovered that there was a balance. And that reinterpretations rock.
Of course we must welcome the new year, and I hope you all had a better new years eve than I did haha.
2009 will be filled with surprises and I can’t wait for new songs with their remix spawns to come out.
So, for my weekend banger, I chose the song that pretty much changed the way I felt about remixes.
Last year ( it feels weird saying last year when it was only yesterday ) was a pretty big year for Kid Cudi and I just know that 09 is just going to be bigger for this artist.
The Crookers worked their skill and magic on Cudi’s song Day N Night and it has since been on repeat for quite some time now.
From 08 to 09, enjoy.
’08 redux

I know I haven’t posted in awhile and I don’t have any amazing new songs/artists I’ve recently discovered or whatEVER. But since this it the time to say farewell to 2008 I decided to post and share my banger of the YEAR (according to last.fm). I’ve been a huge fan of Rilo Kiley since the beginning of high school and still am a big fan. So here’s to 2009, the 8th year I’ve been listening to this fantastic band.
