Happy Halloween, everybody!

The Nobody Hole is a hiphop opera by Sumkid Majere about the tribulations of a character named Pygmy Paul. When his abusive, alcoholic mother burns a hole in the floor, Paul falls into it and finds himself in an eerie nobody world, filled with characters of his own creation. It’s produced by Badtouch and narrated by Nzinga Kadalie. The Nobody Hole actually came out last Halloween but I was in London, standing in line for the London Dungeon all night so I missed this one.  Listen to the whole thing below:

The video for Depeche Mode‘s Hole to Feed basically revolves around three key elements: weirdos, nonsense, and face-licking. It all comes together over a nice low-energy groove.

Saltwater Room is a pleasant synthpop song that appears on Owl City‘s new “Ocean Eyes” album. Ocean Eyes feels a bit overproduced to the point where the vocals have a kind of artificial vibe, but not enough to ruin the record. I digs it!

Hello again, all galdem / all mandem. I’ll be honest; for a while there I wasn’t particularly amped about the weather getting colder. I was trying to cling to the remaining threads of summer UNTIL- UNTIL I REMEMBERED WHAT’S SO GREAT ABOUT THE FALL AND WINTER. We’re talking about holidays! We’re talking about your thanksgiving, we’re talking about your Christmas. We typically don’t get Halloween off, but this year it falls on a Saturday so everything is diamonds for the tail end of 2009.
