Wicked Games

by on Jul.27, 2011

So last weekend my brother made me listen to this song called Wicked Games by The Weeknd and I knew I just had to share it with everyone. You might remember Duncan posting his song  The Morning not too long ago.

The Weeknd is a Toronto based R&B singer by the name of Abel Tesfaye and his first album House of Balloons is up for free download on his site ( it’s basically the only thing you can do on the website).

The album has got 9 tracks including The Morning and Wicked Games. Wicked Games is still probably one of my favorites though.

Big things are coming from this dude, just wait.

IT’S ANOTHER DAY!!!!

by on Jul.22, 2011

The Death Set’s new video for It’s Another Day is based on a true story that happened to me.

Yet another amazing jammer from this year’s Michel Poiccard LP, this one is the first video with a real sort of narrative. (Or at least, a story other than the band going somewhere and partying).

I don’t think that’s actually what happens if you eat hella candy all the time, but it’s worth a try!

VIDEO GAMES!!!!!!!!

by on Jul.21, 2011

Lana Del Rey’s video for Video Games came out a couple of months ago, but like most nerds I hadn’t seen it until just recently. It got posted on Kotaku because of its title, and the daily views for the video increased by 800% overnight. And now for the ultimate publicity bump, I’ll post it on our blog which gets literally dozens of visitors every month.

YOU’RE MY ONLY FRIEND!!!!!

by on Jul.19, 2011

Your boys the Teddybears are releasing their 2010 fire machine Devils Music in North America on June 21. Sounds like it’s remastered, and features Robyn instead of Maipei as a guest on “Cardiac Arrest”. There’s precedent for that, as the Bears been known to switch up the feature credits for different releases of their previous albums.

Teddybears (Feat. Cee Lo & The B-52s) – "Cho-Cha" from stereogum on Vimeo.

One of my favorite tracks from Devils Music, possibly remastered and given a dope video.
I’m going to look like a goof it it isn’t really remastered, but it sounds different in my car, at least! Damn! A demo version of this track actually appeared on Cee-lo’s “Stray Bullets” mixtape last year.

Cho cha, I love you!
