I saw Zola Jesus live the other night in Vancouver, on her North American tour promoting her new album. “Conatus” was released this week, along with a video for her new single, Vessel.

If the Conatus tour comes to your town, get in on that action. She’s super short and tiny, but her voice fills the room. LIKE A LIL’ GHOST GLIDING AROUND ON STAGE, FAM.
The opening act was a noise/glitchcore artist called Xanopticon. I don’t listen to much glitchcore, but he actually crushed pretty hard and it was really cool to see it live.
At first it just sounds like noise, but after a minute or so you can see what’s going on there. The dude creates soundscapes.
