So does Romain Gavras, who previously directed MIA’s awesome Born Free video. Gavras and MIA have collaborated again on an awesome video for her new single, Bad Girls, which is off the 2010 Vicki Leekx mixtape.

Jack from Salem‘s Twitter account is as scary and enigmatic as it is goofy and sincere. When he isn’t selflessly sending good vibes, he occasionally links to some new or obscure work from his band. The latest (new?) development is called Vomit, and I really digz it. It’s a clap-heavy, droning drag peace in the vein of FROST (which, you might recall, was my favorite song of 2010).

Even before I read the description for Alex Winston’s new video, I knew it was shot in Detroit. Either that, or on a sound stage. MAN, that city looks DIRE. This song is called Choice Notes, and it actually manages to cheer the place up a bit. Keep an eye on Alex Winston this year!
