WE WON’T BACK DOWN FROM ANYTHING!!

by DMack on Mar.07, 2010

Crookers are definitely a favourite here at Weekend Bangers, and I was really impressed when I heard this “rework” of their song Remedy (feat. Miike Snow) by Jeuce. Jeuce is an “electropunk” crew from Leeds that’s done a bunch of really big remixes, including some rad and crunchy ones for Ellie Goulding and Ladytron.

Hi Oh Nine.

by Joyce on Jan.02, 2009

Ah 08, as I look back and reflect, twas a year that introduced me to a love of remixes.
I never did like them before because I always had this mentality that you can’t beat the original. However, I discovered that there was a balance. And that reinterpretations rock.

Of course we must welcome the new year, and I hope you all had a better new years eve than I did haha.

2009 will be filled with surprises and I can’t wait for new songs with their remix spawns to come out.
So, for my weekend banger, I chose the song that pretty much changed the way I felt about remixes.

Last year ( it feels weird saying last year when it was only yesterday ) was a pretty big year for Kid Cudi and I just know that 09 is just going to be bigger for this artist.

The Crookers worked their skill and magic on Cudi’s song Day N Night and it has since been on repeat for quite some time now.

From 08 to 09, enjoy.
