MAN! On days like today, it’s good to take some time to appreciate the countless beautiful things we experience every day. Here are five of those things!

Let’s start with a video from Victoria’s own Immaculate Machine, this is called C’mon Sea Legs, and it’s pretty clearly about dealing with changes in one’s life. They use a lot of nautical metaphors to get their point across, which is fitting for a band from the BEEE-YOOTIFUL coastal city of Victoria.

Melissa Czarnik is a talented lady-rapper from Wisconsin. I know not everybody here likes to mess with hiphop too much, but I urge you to give her some attention. …because I feel so good! Hi! This week I picked up the new mc chris record, “Part Six, Part Two“. If you haven’t been following the gripping narrative in his past few albums: chris was shot and killed, became a zombie, and was banished to hell where he’s currently participating in a gameshow. The last song on Part Two is called Japanese Maid, and it’s a touching club ballad about his fantasy housekeeper / sex slave.

It’s sooooo embarrassing to like mc chris, but I’ll tell you without an ounce of shame that the last track on the album is a skit where a guy is just saying names for 6 and a half minutes, and it made me laugh like an idiot.
