WHEN WE MOVE TOGETHER!!!
by DMack on Nov.28, 2010
Have you cats seen the video for Klaxons – Twin Flames? It’s pretty original. Disturbing, sure, but original.
Equally trippy, but far less nightmarish is the video for Ratatat’s Neckbrace.
Ratatat – Neckbrace
Some random footage of birds is used to great effect here, as an almost fluid-looking backdrop for some cheap greenscreen loops of the guys playing.
FEEL THE STEEL!!!!!!
by DMack on Sep.17, 2010
Ninja Magic got a new vocalist! They’ve replaced their powerfully shrill ninja vocalist with a female kunoichi vocalist, whose voice is actually deeper than the old dude’s. Their sound has changed somewhat since ‘04 as well. Besides sounding cleaner and more refined, their newer songs incorporate some sneaky synth elements. Synth elements are usually good things coming from Sweden, and sneaky is usually a good thing coming from ninjas.
Here’s Ninja Magic with their new vocalist, playing The Way of Life to a probably-drunk crowd in their hometown of Luleå, Sweden. As you can see, they’ve still got their charmingly homemade ninja costumes and charmingly homemade pyro effects.
WORD ON THE STREET
Ratatat in Vancouver was an okay show. The engineers were a complete joke and it sounded awful, but they played a bunch of bangers and had crazy hologram things, so it was decent.
Here’s a clip from their show in Seattle the night before, the sound quality on this video is honestly cleaner than what we heard at the Commodore on Wednesday, oh well.
Ratatat – Loud Pipes (live in Seattle, Sept 14, 2010)
How about a 25 word review of the new Weezer album? NO. IT REALLY SUCKS.
Enjoy your weekend!
Stuck In a Cold’n Cage
by Joyce on Mar.08, 2009
I hope you’re all having a great weekend cause I’m NOT. I’m sick people, and not in the cool way, I mean literally sick. I’m talking runny red nose, sneezing the whole shoobeedoo. The last time I got a cold I think I was like 12 years old? ugh.
So please my healthies(?) I beg you to go out there and have double the fun for me. And to ensure that you do have the best weekend ever I’ll help you out with my awesome banger. No room for error with this song baby, it’s been getting me pumped ever since the first time I heard it. It’s been my weekend banger before but not as far as this site goes
The song is Golden cage ( Fred Falke remix) – Whitest Boy Alive. I really like this remix but you can listen to the original here
More healing chicken soup
The Knife – We Share Our Mother’s Health (Ratatat Remix)
Jenny Wilson – Let my shoes lead me forward
That’s it for me! Have a Great weeke—I just sneezed…ugh
