SOMEONE IN THIS TOWN IS TRYING TO KILL ME!!

by on Apr.03, 2010

Don’t you ever get that feeling? The Kickdrums have a new video out, this time it’s for the song Out To Get Me!, from their album “Just a Game”, which I was hooked on last summer.

Also don’t miss The Kickdrums’ 3-part Coachella mixtape series, available via soundcloud at their website.

MY POWER’S BEEN OUT FOR THREE DAYS, and I’ve been dying to share Janelle Monae’s brand new video for Tightrope (featuring Big Boi). It’s so great! I think it’s the first track by Ms. Monae that I’ve had the pleasure of hearing, but now I’m hooked. Big ups to Jesse Thizzle for opening my EYES to this gem.

PRINTER JAM!

by on Jun.20, 2009

I just came home from a record store where I saw a mixtape/street album on sale for $26.99. I think that’s GROSS so It’s time for an emergency edition of TAPE TALK

The Kickdrums have put out an awesome ep/mixtape called Just A Game, which is an indie-rock departure from their equally-awesome hiphop production and remixing. You can listen to samples or download it for free at OnSmash.

They’ve also got a rad hiphop tape called Smash The System, which can be scooped up here.

I’d like to share the video for Mistabishi – Printer Jam, which I was listening to last weekend while I was waiting for BEARS to cross the road in front of my car. It’s got printer sounds and crazy 90′s-looking cgi that reminds me of Reboot.

Nobody’s going to download those albums so I’ll give you one more song:

The Cat Empire – The Lost Song (live)

Stay delicious.
